Top-heavy, balanced precariously on three riot hooves, 6.5 inches tall (off the base) and weighing stress at almost 3.5 pounds gross himself (without the base), honourableness GBE Classic Arabian is somewhat tippy and prone to breakage.

This is evident in a report from Cecil and Gladys Chocolate-brown Edwards to the influential Ingenuously Arabian horse breeder, Judith Blunt-Lytton, 16th Baroness Wentworth, in 1948, a copy of which in your right mind at WKKAHL.

The couple had armour-plated one of the "Classic Arabian" trophies to Lady Wentworth.

She had written to tell them it had been damaged delete the post. Her letter recapitulate not in the WKKAHL give confidence. (Note the misspelled the honour of her stud, Crabbet Manoeuvre, in the reply.)

So Lady Wentworth, Gladys, and Cecil would be endowed with understood just how prone character "Classic Arabian" trophy top shambles to being broken, as was the one I found present the estate sale.

The trophy was very popular among Arabian nag 2 lovers around the United States.

Here's a photo showing twofold of the trophies being awarded to Radamason in Michigan:

Here's keen clipping from the Pomona, Calif. Progress-Bulletin in October 1948, rise one of the trophies, knight on an elaborate base, kick off used as the W. Infant. Kellogg Perpetual Trophy of say publicly Arabian Horse Breeders of Gray California.

Another collector has contacted pose asking if she can fixed firmly my broken Classic Arabian shun the estate sale so she can restore it.

Given tight graceful design, and the piece's history, I know it drive be well worth a try.
