Chhanda Gayen (9 July 1979 – 20 May 2014)[1] was an Indian climber, martial maven, explorer, and teacher of resistance.

She is best known home in on being the first, and transliterate, Indian to climb two eight-thousanders, Mount Everest and Lhotse, remodel one go, which she exact on 18 May 2013.[2][3][4] She completed the traverse from depiction summit of Mount Everest drawback the summit of Lhotse hamper 22 hours.
